IFS/IFIO Therapy Agreement
This is an agreement of work between Sophie Kay, IFS Practitioner, and my clients for IFS/IFIO Therapy. The aim of it is to put some boundaries in place to protect both of us and help to get the most of our sessions together.
If you want clarification about anything then please email me or discuss with me at the beginning of our first session. I will ask you for your full name, date of birth, address, phone number and GP name and address/phone number. This will be held as confidential information by me and only be used as outlined in the privacy policy or in an emergency. If you need to contact me please phone, What's App or text me on: 07709907171 Or email me: [email protected] Length of Sessions usually one hour, but this can be negotiated. The time is agreed before or at the beginning of the session and we need to keep to time in order for me to be ready for my next client. If the session appears to need a few minutes extra I may have a little room to go over time but I will check if you need to finish on time at the beginning of the session. If you arrive late, the session will still finish at the arranged time. During the sessions Please turn your phone off or let me know if you need it on and may be interrupted during the session. Payment for sessions I respectfully ask you to pay for the session in advance via online banking. I will give you my details when we agree to work together. Please see my cost section for charges. This fee will be reviewed annually, and I will give you one month’s notice of an increase via email and also check verbally. Frequency of sessions It is usual at the beginning to meet weekly and I suggest four sessions to establish a good working relationship and hopefully see some progress for you, then we have a review and may agree that we change or keep to the frequency. Cancelling Sessions Please give me as much notice as possible if you need to cancel a session. I do not charge for missed sessions but will try to re-book you that week. I will do the same and give you as much notice as I can if I have to cancel a session, which we have booked. Ending the Work I do not ask you to give me any reason if you feel you would like to finish the therapy with me. Sometimes this type of work can be challenging and there is a benefit in continuing if you feel you can work through the challenges. I also can offer you a free session if you feel there are issues that you might like to discuss with me. This may be beneficial for both of us and it is important to me that the sessions are working for you. After the initial four sessions I will suggest a review every four or six sessions depending on your preference. You can continue the therapy for as long as you are finding it beneficial and I am offering the service. It is helpful to have at least one session together after a decision to end, so that there is time for both of us to review, and end the relationship as openly as possible. My Intention Though I am a qualified nurse I am not working as a nurse in this context. I am offering IFS/IFIO Therapy. If we discuss anything in the course of the session that relates to your health, or your child's health, then I advise you to discuss it with your GP/health professional before trying anything for yourself. If you do not do this then you do so at your own risk and I accept no responsibility for any ill effects. Privacy Policy please read the attached policy that covers confidentiality and data protection. I will ask you to agree via email that you have read this contract and agree with its contents.
